Learning and Encouragement

For the last 6 weeks, I have been taking courses through World Bible School. What an experience!!! I have been a christian for most of my life, but was only baptized in October last year. I have never spent enough time in the Word and always put it off with the excuse of: "I dont know where to start".
With World Bible School, that has all changed. They email you courses and lessons that are easy to understand and yet challenging at the same time. At the end of each lesson, there are questions that you need to answer and submit to your tutor. Your tutor is a REAL person who you can call on when you need prayer or when there is something that you dont understand.
I have learnt so much since embarking on these courses. It doesnt matter whether you are an old christian or a new one, or if you are simply curious about God's word and who He is. These bible courses have something for everyone.

2 Special scriptures
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end." (ASV) (the NIV replaces thoughts for plans)
and
Philipians 3:12-14
Phi 3:12 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.
Phi 3:13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,
Phi 3:14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (ESV)

These are 2 very encouraging verses. In Jeremiah, we see that God has a plan for our lives and that His plan is for peace and prosperity.
Whatever suffering or heartache we may endure, know that God has planned has for our peace, and that the time of suffering is a season that will pass.
With this in mind, I pray that your suffering may be easier. For God has a plan for you!

Strain on to what is ahead, press on to the ultimate prize of living with Jesus one day.
Do not let your suffering get you down. Satan wants you to be down so that he has a chance of seeing your old, wicked, unsaved self resurrected. Don't let this happen.
Forget what is behind! Forget your old, wicked self. Focus on the new you with Jesus Christ forming inside you.
Stand strong in the Lord and His plan for your life. Know that God will one day call you Home.
